The main focus of the work was to provide a multi-purpose space that could be used equally as a lecture hall and a theatre.

The original 1972, 364-seat theatre was reconfigured to improve the seating layout, circulation, and the interior design of the space. The new seating layout includes a 100-seat center section with tablet arm seats and appropriate lighting for classroom use. The new side towers provide a more intimate atmosphere by narrowing the room, helping to focus the audience's attention towards the stage. A vertical chair lift provides access between the seating and stage levels.

New front of house catwalks provide improved access to theatrical and architectural lighting fixtures. Existing lighting circuits were redistributed around the room and across the new catwalks. The original down lighting was replaced with more efficient fixtures. A combination of incandescent and LED fixtures provide uplighting washes to brighten the ceiling.
